When I’m not writing about vaping, I like being outdoors. But whether you just enjoy the great outdoors, or whether you have a job that requires you to spend a lot of time outside, it’s worth considering what vape equipment you choose. Luckily, whether you prefer the best pod from jualvape or a hefty mod kit, you’ll find a number of devices that are great for outdoor use. In this post, we review the features you need for outdoor vaping and highlight some vapes that are suitable for use in tougher conditions.

Features to look for

Of course, sometimes you may not want a large device for space reasons. If so, you might want to consider a pod system with good battery life. The SMOK RPM 2 is small and compact, and the 1500mAh battery ensures good battery life, especially when used with higher resistance coils.

External battery

All the batteries eventually run out, which can be really annoying if you’re camping miles away from the plug. So it’s worth considering mods that run on external batteries, as you can easily charge these at home and carry spare parts with you. Alternatively, or if you have a device that has a fixed internal battery, consider bringing a portable power bank like the Pebble Explorer.

Robust construction and coating

There’s no point in having a great battery capacity if the tank will crack when you drop it on top of a mountain. Look for a tank that features a metal construction around the glass, such as the Innokin Kroma R Zlide. It’s a good idea to bring a spare glass or two just in case — some vape kits now include a spare glass, but you can also buy one separately.

If you don’t have a robust tank and don’t want to spend the money on a new one, it might be worth buying some silicone tape to go around your tank. It does not offer the same protection as a steel casing but reduces the risk of cracking. Don’t forget mods too. Look for mods with a hard and rubber construction or a rubber-like finish. For example, the Vaporesso Gen S comes with a finish made of four layers of casing and is scratch and fire resistant. For an alternative to pod vaping, the Orion Q pod system by Lost Vape comes with a tough steel construction to help it withstand drops.

Dustproof, shockproof, waterproof

Going one step further, a small number of mods are now starting to come with features that go beyond just robust builds. Of particular note are its dustproof, shockproof, and water-resistant capabilities. The Geekvape Aegis Boost combines all of these features with a hefty 1500 mAh battery.

Considered to be the toughest pod vape system, the device is equipped with shock-resistant technologies that include anti-break (the ability to absorb energy from drops and knocks), anti-deformation (which distributes stress evenly) and anti-propagation (which refers to 1.77 mm). zinc alloy shield). Like the other devices in this section, it is also water resistant, being able to withstand a depth of up to 1 meter for 30 minutes.

Drip end cap / cap

One simple feature that can easily solve the problem of dirt and grit getting into your device is the drip tip cap.

Lanyard

I suspect many of the lanyards that seem to come with every vape mod nowadays are rarely used. However, it is worth considering when you are hiking. When you’re rock climbing in the field, up a mountain, or up stairs, it’s helpful to keep your hands free!
